Information about prints and Giclees
General Photo Information
- All animal photos were taken in the wild. No captive animals were used.
- Each photo is true to the scene, hence we do not do digital manipulation.
- We do use filters like a polarizer to remove glare and haze. It works similar to polarized sunglasses.
- We do not use color enhancing filters.
- All animals were photographed in an ethical manner as to not disturb their behavior.
Fine Art Print Information
- All 5x7" and 8x10" prints come pre-matted in suede or brightcore acid-free mats, backed by 1/8" acid-free foam core.
These mats are cut to fit either a standard 8x10" or 11x14" frame. All 11x16" and larger prints are not matted.
- Photographic prints are made with Epson professional printers using archival inks giving you a lifetime of enjoyment.
- All photographic prints are made on either Epson Ultra Premium Photo Luster Paper or Epson Premium Photo Glossy Paper.
- The copyright watermark does not appear on the print as it is only for website display and will be replaced by our signature
in a non-obtrusive location.
- All prints should be displayed behind glass and out of direct sunlight. If this is not possible please use museum glass or other
UV protective glass.
- Yes these are digitally produce but they do rival the life of the best wet prints available. Please, check the following link which shows
independent test results for life expectancy. http://www.wilhelm-research.com/epson/4800.html
Giclee Information
- A Giclee, simply put is a photograph produced on canvas instead of paper. This procedure results in a stunning almost
painting / textured look to the print.
- Each Giclee print is produced on Epson's acid free Premier Art Water Resistant Canvas.
- Each print is then hand coated in an additional UV protector.
- Why a Giclee? It tends to add a depth to the image, almost like a 3D type of experience.
- Each Giclee is sold as the canvas only. It can then be stretched at your local framing shop while it is there for framing.
- Why canvas only? Because the canvas once stretched could easily be damaged during shipping.
